My Only Child Learned How To Pour Driveways

Since my only child reached the age of sixteen, he has been eager to learn basic life skills. His mother and I have been patient as we have taught him how to pour a concrete driveway, but our training process is nearly complete. He learned how to pour a driveway.

We asked him what inspired him to take up this hobby. “The opportunity came up,” he said with an air of confidence that made us proud. We had always suspected that he possessed these skills; we just needed the right catalyst event to coax them out of his point where they could be applied practically.

“We can’t wait for you to apply your new talent!” we exclaimed joyously, giving him a hug. “We’re so proud of you!”

The driveway-pouring process is not an easy one, but our son has proved himself to be a natural. With just a few more pointers from us, he will be able to do this job on his own. In the meantime, we will continue to watch with pride as our son grows into a responsible and capable adult. Thank you, son, for making us so proud!
